Classrooms

The Connecticut Core Standards provide teachers, students, and families with clear expectations of what a student should know and be able to do at each grade level in English Language Arts and Mathematics. In West Hartford, we are extremely proud of our teacher-developed curriculum aligned to these standards. Science, Social Studies, and Health are integrated into the classroom curriculum on a weekly basis. At Duffy, we are committed to honoring the uniqueness of each individual learner and ensuring that we are teaching so that all students can learn. Instruction is based on Connecticut’s SRBI model, which follows a tiered approach to meeting instructional needs.
